We want to protect the fields of bluebonnets and pecan groves where we take photos with our kids each year. We don’t want to worry about pollution in the rivers we kayak and canoe in. Sunsets are nature’s art. They’re free to everyone, everyday. They shouldn’t be destroyed with noise and smoke stacks.

The only people pushing the AI gold rush are the people who sell the picks and shovels for it. AI, and particularly the pipe dream of artificial general intelligence (AGI), is not worth killing our communities with toxic fumes.

Wake up, Texas. Our kids deserve better than this.
